Every step of the winemaking process—from grape harvesting to bottling—takes place at 1,000-meter elevation on granitic soils, perfectly embodying the “vine-to-glass” philosophy. The winery’s magic lies in its uncompromising approach: Wild yeast fermentation captures the untamed spirit of the mountain terroir in every drop; Their pioneering “Pure Vinification” range—made without preservatives—places them at the forefront of Australia’s natural wine movement; With annual production comparable to a Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé, each numbered bottle becomes a collectible work of art.”

The winery has received numerous accolades, including a Gold Medal at the Queensland Wine Awards for its 2006 Chardonnay, and a prestigious Five Red Star rating from wine critic James Halliday, placing it among the top 10% of Australian wineries. Its standout series—Provenance, Wild Ferment, and Prophecy—each showcase the distinct character of the Granite Belt region.

Additional Tour Description

Mount Tamborine is located in the Gold Coast hinterland, Queensland, standing 550 meters above sea level. It offers breathtaking views of the Gold Coast, Pacific Ocean, and the surrounding valleys. Named after the nearby Tamborine Creek by surveyor Major Thomas Mitchell in 1828. The name “Tamborine” comes from the Yugambeh language, meaning “wild lime” or “yam on a cliff,” a nod to the native finger lime trees and yams that thrive on the mountain. Another traditional name for the area, “Wonglepong,” translates to “hearing the wrong way,” referring to the distinctive echoes that bounce through the landscape.

This volcanic plateau, formed millions of years ago, boasts rich soils that nurture lush rainforests and diverse wildlife. Historically, the area has been home to the Yugambeh people, the traditional custodians of the land. European settlement began in the mid-1800s, and the mountain quickly became a hub for timber and agriculture industries.
