At Terindah Estate, don’t miss the vintage tram café for a unique dining experience (Thursday to Sunday only).
Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, home to over 200 handcrafted chocolates and ice cream flavors made from premium local ingredients. Watch chocolatiers in action, sample sweet treats, and pick up delightful souvenirs. Continue along the coast to admire the Split Point Lighthouse, take a peaceful stroll along Fairhaven Beach, and capture the iconic Memorial Arch, a tribute to the workers who built the Great Ocean Road.
Enjoy afternoon tea in Lorne, a charming seaside town, before soaking in panoramic views from Teddy’s Lookout. Spot wild koalas at Kennett River, often seen lounging in eucalyptus trees, before settling in for the night in Apollo Bay, a picturesque coastal town nestled between the ocean and rolling hills.

Start your morning with a peaceful walk through Maits Rest, a lush rainforest filled with towering ferns and ancient trees, where sunlight filters through the dense canopy. Visit the historic Cape Otway Lighthouse, Victoria’s oldest lighthouse, perched dramatically on the cliffs overlooking the wild Southern Ocean, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
Then, prepare for jaw-dropping coastal scenery as you descend the Gibson Steps, stand in awe of the Twelve Apostles, and marvel at the rugged beauty of Razorback and Loch Ard Gorge, where the powerful ocean waves have carved dramatic rock formations over time. Take a moment to walk along the sandy shore of the gorge, feeling the sea breeze and imagining the shipwreck stories that shaped this coastline.
Enjoy a delightful lunch in Port Campbell before continuing to see more incredible rock formations like the London Bridge, the mystical The Grotto, and the breathtaking Bay of Islands, where the limestone stacks rise majestically from the ocean. As the day winds down, spend the night in Port Campbell, a cozy seaside town perfect for a relaxing evening, perhaps ending the night with a peaceful walk along the shore.

Kick off the day at Hopkins Falls, a stunning 90-meter-wide cascade, where water tumbles over rocky ledges in a mesmerizing display. Take in the peaceful countryside views and capture some great photos before heading to Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, a living history museum showcasing the shipwreck era of the 19th century. Wander through old cottages, explore the maritime museum, and hear gripping tales of sailors braving the Bass Strait.
If visiting between May and October, stop by Logans Beach Whale Watching Platform for a chance to see southern right whales up close.
Continue to Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, an extinct volcano teeming with emus, koalas, and echidnas. Enjoy a scenic walk through its lush crater before ending the day at Deep Blue Hot Springs. Soak in mineral-rich thermal pools under the open sky, letting the natural warmth wash away the day’s adventures.

The final day is all about savoring local flavors along the 12 Apostles Food Artisan Trail before heading back to Melbourne. If visiting between October and April, start your morning with a delightful berry-picking experience at Berry World, where you can enjoy fresh, seasonal fruits straight from the farm.
Next, indulge in a smooth whiskey tasting at the Timboon Railway Shed Distillery, known for its rich, handcrafted spirits. Wine lovers can then visit Babche Wines to sample elegant cool-climate wines produced with passion and precision. For those with a sweet tooth, Dairylicious offers creamy, handmade fudge in a variety of flavors, while the award-winning Timboon Fine Ice Cream serves up decadent scoops made with the region’s finest dairy.

WHAT TO BRING
Pack smart and comfy! Bring clothes that match the weather, your favorite comfy shoes, and anything else you can’t live without. Melbourne’s got a thing for wild temperature swings—daytime sunshine, cool evenings. Please note that much of the itinerary takes place by the sea, where ocean breezes can be quite chilly, especially during the winter months & occasionally in summer. We strongly recommend bringing warm clothing to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey. Oh, and Australia’s sun means business, so slap on some sunscreen, throw on your sunnies, and grab a hat to stay sun-safe!
